Fourstones Installs New A.I. Machine Vision Camera
Fourstones has installed a brand new A.I. machine vision camera at our Sapphire Mill site in Scotland! This technology will help us to improve our (already excellent) quality control procedures, ensuring our customers get the best product every time.
What is a Machine Vision Camera?
A machine vision camera is a high-definition camera system that uses a combination of high-resolution imagery and advanced Artificial Intelligence (A.I.) technology to accurately scan products before they are loaded onto pallets.
Positioned above the conveyor line, the camera uses a computer program to analyse each case and check for anything out of the ordinary. We have specifically trained the program to check for a variety of instances. With built-in A.I. the camera can learn over time, increasing its accuracy and speeding up our overall Q.C. procedure. What’s more, we are constantly training the program manually to ensure it knows what to look for, no matter the product.
Enhancing Quality Control
Can you have too much quality control? Maybe. But we take the quality of our products seriously. That’s why we’re so excited to integrate this state-of-the-art technology to improve our quality control measures beyond what we currently have. This will help to ensure your customers are in safe hands and will always receive high quality paper products from Fourstones.
We’re Quality Focussed
Our quality control doesn’t start here. We have been focussed on quality since the beginning and we are proudly ISO 9001:2015 certified. This means we are committed to providing the highest of standards that allow us to deliver efficient, consistent and high-quality service.
Further Investment and Innovation
Building on the success of our machine vision camera, we are committed to continuing our investment into other areas of the business by using cutting-edge technologies. With the rapid development of A.I. and other automation tools, we believe these systems will aid us in providing even better service moving forward.
